African Dance Classes

Dancing Inside Out

A non-residential weekend at the Moving Arts Space, Islington, London on 10-11 March with Fiona Primarola and Rebecca Cardy, exploring the dynamic interplay between the state of rest and the energy of movement using dance and art. Fiona and Rebecca also organise dance and art weeks in the beautiful Sierra Nevada in Spain.

Lancaster Eurodance

We meet monthly in the Gregson Arts & Community Centre, Moor Lane, Lancaster, usually on the first Tuesday of the month, to practise traditional dance and music – mainly French, but we also do Breton, Basque and Scandinavian dances. We organise occasional parties with music by local musicians. We distribute information about other events which may be of interest to members. Membership of the club is free.  All are welcome.  You don't need a partner. Monthly practice sessions,  8pm - 10.30pm, £2.00 per session or you can pay £15.00 for the whole year (Sept – June).  We have no meetings in July or August although we may organise summer parties then. We start at 8pm.

Somatic Dance Therapy

Look out for BBC 2 Blast Dance on 3 or 4 December, a series of film shorts which has a piece called Sensing the Path by Amanda Williamson who lives in Lancaster and some of you may have danced with at UCLAN. Amanda is hoping to set up a somatic dance therapy group locally so I will let you know details once they are finalised.
